RE-ELECT

MEET RACHEL

New Leadership Delivering Results
for Our Community
State Rep. Rachel Chaleski

Rachel proudly serves as State Representative for Danbury's 138th District. A member of the Appropriations, Education, and Transportation Committees, she works through responsible leadership and a common sense approach to promote sound fiscal policy and genuinely reflect the people's will regardless of party affiliation.

During the 2023 session, Rachel worked across party lines to put forth the first bipartisan budget since 2017, which included a historic State Income Tax Cut as well as a record-high investment in education, all while honoring and extending the state's fiscal guardrails. In addition to receiving a 100% voting record on all 368 votes from the House floor, Rachel was also recognized by Connecticut's most prominent business organization for her 100% pro-business voting record. She joins her colleagues in advocacy work through the Bipartisan Women's Caucus and Bipartisan Animal Welfare Caucus.

A resident of Danbury for over 20 years, Rachel is committed to continuing to serve in the best interest of the people of our City and State. A native of Warwick, RI, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology and has experience in corporate finance. Rachel was elected twice to the Danbury Board of Education, where she served as Secretary, Vice-Chair, and Chair.

"It is the utmost honor to serve as State Representative for Danbury’s 138th District. I’m proud of the progress achieved in just a short time, but there is much work to be done.  I will work to hold the line on any new or increased taxes or fees and to ensure that Danbury continues to see headway in receiving our fair share of state funding. Support my re-election campaign so that I can continue to fight for Danbury’s 138th District!"
